The length of this car is amazing! What can we say about Lincoln circa 1966, except that it is everything the Lincoln of today is not? The automaker has taken a step forward with the MKZ, but it’s going to take awhile to straighten out its once-prestigious house. In 1966, there was no MK-everything alphabet soup. There was just the Continental, and that was enough.
The Continental’s advertisements were as understated as its styling (though we prefer the details seen on the earlier years of this body style). Take this example, pulled from a moldering issue of Status magazine.
